Celebrate the launch of a new book of recipes and stories by Refugee Action Colchester, designed by artist Gee Vaucher.

In Colchester, Refugee Action Colchester’s Syrian Pop-Up Café has given rise to cultural understanding, employment opportunities and togetherness in the community, as well as lots of delicious Middle Eastern food.

Their new cookbook ‘Something to Share’ celebrates the transformative power of food and people, featuring 30 family recipes from around the world and packed full of stories of resilience and community.

Artist Gee Vaucher developed a close relationship with the Syrian Pop-Up Café grew during Firstsite’s exhibition of her work, ‘Introspective’.

The book will be available to buy on the night, with an opportunity for signings by Gee Vaucher and the contributors.
