Firstsite Collectors’ Group Award 2018
Apply now for the Firstsite Collectors’ Group Award 2018.
The Firstsite Collectors’ Group Award supports artists in Essex and Suffolk with their professional career development. The Award is made possible through the Group’s continuing engagement and interest in contemporary visual art in the region.
Interested artists are required to submit a proposal which will be presented to the annual Collectors’ Group Award panel. The nature and level of proposals received will dictate the number and amount of grant awarded. Grants awarded range from £100 – £1,000. The aim of the scheme is to contribute to a larger project or an aspect of professional development.
- Applicants must be based in Essex or Suffolk.
- Applicants must complete a Collectors’ Group Bursary Award application form. Please include three images or details of relevant work within your application form, and/or web links if work is film or hosted online.
- Applications should demonstrate ambition, and a commitment to current practice and a considered line of enquiry.
- Proposals can be made to contribute to the costs of making new work, purchase of equipment, travel, exhibition making and other forms of professional development.

The Collectors’ Group is a part of Firstsite’s membership scheme. Members of the Group engage in a specially tailored programme of visits to artists’ studios, private collections, Firstsite’s own exhibitions and other cultural attractions. Funds raised from the Group’s membership fees contribute towards the Collectors’ Group Award, complementing Firstsite’s support of practicing artists in the region.
